SENIOR SCIENTIST
This announcement is for one (1) fully remote position and open to candidates based in India. Candidates should have reliable high-speed internet, a dedicated workstation, and the ability to work effectively and productively in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing team workload, allocate tasks effectively, and monitor progress to meet project timelines;
- Understanding and clarifying project requirements with minimal input and effectively managing project timelines;
- Taking ownership of assigned tasks, following through on requests, and ensuring timely, high-quality project delivery;
- Developing and executing literature search strategies across databases such as PubMed, clinicaltrials.gov, FDA, Embase, Cochrane, and other relevant sources;
- Performing abstract and full-text screening for relevance;
- Extracting relevant data from research articles and clinical trial databases;
- Curating data to support systematic reviews and meta-analyses;
- Performing quality control (QC) checks on curated datasets to ensure completeness and accuracy;
- Supporting the development of clinical database tool;
- Participating in process improvement and standard operating procedures (SOPs) development;
- Providing subject matter expertise in evidence synthesis methodologies and assist in training junior staff.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in pharmacology, pharmaceutics or other relevant life sciences;
- 10–12 years of overall experience in the clinical data domain;
- Solid knowledge of clinical trial study designs, statistical analyses, and associated terminology;
- Strong understanding of the data extraction process, experience in reviewing and quality controlling curated datasets;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in team management and project management;
- Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, and supporting junior staff while independently handling critical workstreams.
- Computer skills (MS Office, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, PowerPoint); and
- Competencies and skills in the following: communication in English – verbal and written; strong attention to detail; excellent documentation and communication skills; and ability to effectively problem solve both independently and with others.
